Nanomaterial Chemistry Position Hunting

Dear

I
am presently a
post doctorante in CEA / Grenoble (France) within LITEN laboratory
(Laboratory of Innovation for the Technologies of new Energies and
Nanomaterials) and I am looking for a position
in nanochemistry.

My
mission, which
succeeded, is actually to elaborate metallic (gold and silver)
nanowires to prepare conductive and transparent electrodes to be
later applied in photovoltaic technologies.


During
my thesis I have been working
among the “Nanomaterial” team in the laboratory of “Interface,
Treatement, Organisation and System Process” in the University
Paris Diderot, and I was assigned to synthesize hybrid components to
prepare magnetic fluids for cancer treatment by hyperthermia. After
being produced, these nano-objects are coated with different
biocompatible polymers in order to reduce their cytotoxicity.


You
are looking for a researcher in the field of material science and a
prior experience in chemical grafting and surface characterization.
Thus, I am highly interested in the position you are offering since I
have worked on several projects around the synthesis, the
characterization of nanomaterials (X-ray diffraction, TEM, Squid,
XPS, ATD/ATG, AFM, IR spectroscopy, NMR and MS), their
functionnalization by ligands or/and hydrophilic polymers and
eventually their dispersion in a fluid to form stable aqueous
colloids. The obtained magnetic fluids are very useful for drug
delivery, MRI, hyperthermia…

My
achievements are reflected by
one paper already published in a well know science journal and three
others submitted.


I
would also like to stress on my willingness and ability to learn new
concepts and experimental technics. I also have a real ability for
team work, which could be observed through the good relationship and
exchange of help that I maintained with the rest of the group members
and with my supervisors during all my training experiences.

This
position is actually a good opportunity to me to take up my research
career and to learn more about an interesting and broad field. My
technical and relational skills make me, in my opinion, a good
applicant for your project.
